Breakbeats, Original Grooves, Funk, Soul, Electro

Rob Gramz has been spinning on the same pair of 1200s for the past 15 years. His collection of pause mix tapes dates back to the early 80s when he was rocking artists like Kool and the Gang, Herbie Hancock, and Newcleus. His fascination with DJing began with his introduction to the hip hop culture with the likes of Jam Master Jay, Terminator X, and Jazzy Jeff. He began DJing at his college radio station in Philadelphia where he co-hosted a Thursday night show called ‘Archives’ which soon became the showcase for local DJs and MCs. In the early 90s he was introduced to the world of electronic music and electronic breaks. He formed his own DJ collective around this time and BSP was born.

Rob Gramz currently runs BSP.org and BSP Radio from his studio. He has formed an alias, Bake McBride, whose side project ‘Bake McBride’s Soul Sessions’ consists of original hip hop sampled tracks ranging from Jazz, Funk, Soul, and R&B. He hosts “Tuesday Night Breakdown” on BSP Radio every Tuesday Night @ 9PM est. featuring a variety of electronic breaks.
