I believe most music is made by mistake. There are many people who are talented and can think of a melody and put it down on paper or a track, but if you understand the mathematics that go into building a track and you come up with a sound on accident you can build a good tune around it without any knowledge of musical notation. You can use your trained ear and editing skills on your DAW of choice and make something amazing.
