Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District (LPCCD) is transforming a low-income neighborhood in Newark, New Jersey from blighted lots into an urban eco-village. Leading the revitalization of an emerging arts and cultural district, LPCCD is a model which demonstrates the nation’s best practices in sustainable urban development. The project includes US Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified housing units, green collar jobs, music festivals, historic restoration projects and the Museum of African American Music, a Smithsonian Affiliate.

Dedicated to House Music Club Icon Mr. Shelton Hayes
Featuring Thelma Houston, DJ Joaquin “Joe” Claussell, Elisabeth Withers, DJ Rich Medina, DJ Tee Mallory, and DJ Duce Martinez. A special Afro-Cuban drumming performance by ILU Aye-El Tambor del Mundo – The Drum of the World and Special Tribute to House music icon, Newark’s own Shelton Hayes, by “House Mother” Carolyn Byrd and music industry pioneer, John Brown. Live percussionists throughout the day featuring indigenous instruments from Brazil, West Africa, Peru, and India.

featuring Rock Steady Crew with Crazy Legs, Grand Puba, UGod, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shante, and many, many more. Hosted by End of the Weak with special guests.
Rochester, NY’s very own Pete Nasty will be in the house Friday May 22nd at the Mayfair Breakdance Challenge. Bboy Napalm from Beat Whakz crew will also be holding it down that night. With Skeme on the 1’s and 2’s for the night and some great prizes and cash giveaways, not to mention an official afterparty, Mayfair Breakdance Challenge looks like the jam to go to this May.
